I don't know you, but i feel like i do. A friend sent me the emails so i could be praying for Spencer and your entire family. I am so very sorry for your loss. I will continue to pray for all of you as you walk through this incredibly difficult season. Thank you for donating Spencer's organs---part of him will live on through those his little life has now saved. May God give you peace and richly bless you.

When school begins this year, I will miss Spencer’s smiling face, awesome attitude, enthusiasm, latest Aggie attire and most of all-- his sweet, kind, and gentle spirit towards others. I will also miss his "really high" high five's as he wanted to always jump up "high" to reach my hand on his way out of the gym.
It is so sad to think that our Boon Elementary family will be missing one of our precious 1st graders. I am sure this group of children will be somehow changed by the loss of their friend and classmate and I pray for strength and wisdom for all the parents as they attempt to explain the unexplainable to their 6 year olds.
I will think of Spencer with each game we play this year and make sure I give extra hugs to all the little ones-- because we just truly never know God’s plan.
May God hold your family gently in the palm of His hand and help you to find the kind peace that only He can give.

I received an email from my Sister-in-Law, Midge, telling me of your loss and it saddens my heart to hear of such a young child suffering so... The entire Squire family is in my thoughts and prayers. Spencer was such a dear, sweet boy and will be sorely missed.

Dear Spencer. You are my favorite Aggie buddy and I will miss you so much. My favorite memories of you are when you would put on your Spider Man outfit and run around the house, sit at the computer and "surf the net" at the age of 4 or 5 (probably even sooner), and drive Ryan around in your "Aggie Escalade". You are the COOLEST kid I know!

You are our Aggie Angel sweetie! We love you so much!

Anna, Patrick and Ryan, My heart has been broken for you from the moment I got the call from Kay Schroeder on Saturday night to add your precious Spencer to the prayer list on Sunday morning at FUMC Lockhart. Many were praying that your son would be healed. He was healed but not the way we wanted him healed! I just remember him from Christmas Eve services or holidays, bounding down the aisle for Communion and thinking what a perfect family you all have created! His pictures and testimonies tell quite a story that is an example to all of us - "Live life to the fullest every day and love deeply because we do not know how long we have on this earth!" Please know that our constant thoughts and prayers are with you and will continue with you as you remember this precious gift from God every day of your lives.

Dear Spencer,

I just wanted to let you know that we will miss you so much. As you look down from heaven you are probably wondering why we are all so sad. After all, you are now in heaven with the Jesus and know what a wonderful place it is – just like the Bible promised. Well, it’s probably because we won’t get to make any new memories with you. There are so many that I thought I would remind you of a few.

How about the time you came over to the house when I was watching a Dallas Cowboys game that I had recorded with the DVR. You looked at the TV so puzzled because the game was still on and finally you said “Mr. Magee, I’ve already seen this game and I can tell you what happens…”. After I interrupted you so that you would not tell me the ending, you continued by saying “But Mr. Magee, but Mr. Magee, you don’t understand, you don’t understand … I’ve seen this game !!!”. Finally, I had to send you and Andrew outside to play so that I could see the Cowboys lose on my own, ha !

Remember all of the basketball games that we played over at the house. You were such a strong little boy and would get down on the block and just push on me. Your strength and stature resulted in you being nicknamed “The Fire Hydrant” because when you would block me out for a rebound your little bottom would hit me right in the knees and I would stop in my tracks – just like running into a fire hydrant.

Oh, how your daddy and I looked forward to teaching you boys the game of basketball and having many long nights of games. I even installed the halogen lights this summer so that darkness would not be an excuse for ending a game prematurely. We envisioned many Magee vs. Squire three-on-three tournaments in our future. Oh the fun we would have had. We will probably still play our fair share of games and enjoy talking about how you would have won the game with a key steal or a big time shot.

My favorite memory is probably the game that you and Andrew invented called “Charge the Mount (Mound)”. Remember, it was the game where one was the pitcher and one was the batter and the pitcher would pretend to throw at the batter just so the batter could charge the mount and wrestle with the pitcher. Oh how you two loved to just wrestle. I will never forget how you guys would roll around in the backyard just laughing and giggling and playing your games.

We will all miss you but I think Andrew will miss you the most. He loved you like a brother and will have a hard time replacing his best buddy. Friends like you don’t come around very often.

Thanks for the memories.

Sincerely,

Mr. Magee

I know there is nothing I can say to make the pain go away. Spencer will always be remembered as such a special, wonderful little boy and friend to many. The legacy he leaves us is an outpouring of love and kindness. Thank you for choosing to share his life with others through transplants. One day, Jared, may be the recipient of a heart transplant as he has gone through many open heart surgeries since he was only two weeks old. Your compassion and love is greatly appreciated.

Dear Anna, Pat and Ryan

We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family throughout this very difficult time.

Unfortunatley it is times like these that make you stop your busy daily routine and truly appreciate and love your own kids a little more then you already do. The spilling of the milk on the new carpet and the breaking of the window with an over throw doesn't seem so bad.

Hopefully everyone will hug their loved ones a little longer and just enjoy their company a little more in honor of Spencer.

Anna, Patrick, and Ryan,

Words cannot even begin to express our sorrow for the loss of your beautiful son Spencer. Spencer in his six short years, managed to touch the lives of so many people. I will always remember his mischievious grin, sparkling personality and twinkle in eyes. Hayden was truly blessed to have Spencer in her preschool class at CRCDS. She truly enjoyed having Spencer as her friend. Please know that all of you are in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. If there is anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask.
